The name's Plissken... Okay, maybe it's not but we can dream.

We took inspiration from the 1981 hit, Escape from New York and decided to replicate the main character's jacket to create a beautiful, distressed, biker jacket.


The jacket pictured is made in pre-distressed cowhide, this is one of our most popular leathers, it's soft, very durable and sports a great distressed/vintage look.


This suits this biker style jacket very well as it's protective but very comfortable rather than some of the stiffer leathers you can get these days.

The jacket itself is an aviator style jacket, it has a tapered waist and side straps to pull it in further however it is more of a comfort fit (often worn open) so it's not what we'd call a slim fit - these are generally smarter, more tailored looking jackets like the Layer Cake.


Not your bad-ass Snake jacket! The tapered waist and the room in the chest means you'll get plenty of room for movement but will still have a close-fitting jacket.

This is the 1st jacket I ordered from Wested and it is by far the coolest jacket I own. I ordered it in Pre Distressed Lambskin and it is just a gorgeous colour and has that worn Snake Plissken look. I am 6"1 and ordered a 44inch chest, 26.5 sleeve and 27.5 back. I have rather broad shoulders, so I had the jacket slightly altered to fit my body type at a local tailor, as the pleats popped up a bit and sleeves needed a little tapering for a tighter fit around the arms. It was well worth it, as it is now perfectly fitted to my shoulders, arms and waist. The jacket is heavier than other leather jackets I own and feels extremely well made like it will last a lifetime, but it is also very soft to the touch. Because the jacket is so solidly built It is warm too, so it would also suit the cooler months of the year, depending on where you live. It comes with zip side pockets and 1 inside pocket which is great, and I ordered an extra inside pocket, so there are multiple pockets for phone, wallet and keys etc...which I like to have, so no need to carry anything in your jeans. You may want to contact Wested to check the size chart, as it's not on the product page for this particular jacket, but once you get the sizing right it is most definitely worth purchasing. If you love "Escape From New York", you're gonna love this jacket as an all year round "go to" jacket. Thanks Wested for the most badass jacket I now own. Indy, Layer Cake and Skyfall jackets next on my list...:)

PIT TO PIT - Pit To Pit is the actual measurement of a jacket laid flat, zipped up and measured from one side to the other (It is Not Your Body Measurement)

SLEEVE LENGTH - Measure the arm from the top of your shoulder down to where you want the cuff to end

BACK LENGTH - Measure from the nape of your neck to where you want the jacket to end

SHOULDER - Measure from the neck to the end of the shoulder
